The Cotton-top Tamarin needs more habitat in Tierralta (Córdoba, Colombia)

The project of a team of ecologists and student Tatiana wants to create the conditions for expanding the habitat of 3 endangered monkey species (Cotton-top Tamarin, Black-bellied monkeys, Capuchin monkeys) beyond the existing private protected area "La Oscurana" (near Tierralta, Cordoba, Colombia) in order to stabilize the populations. As part of her bachelor's thesis, Tatiana is to find out which trees form the basis of the monkeys' livelihood. With the support of the landowners, these trees can then be specifically cultivated and planted in surrounding reforestation areas. Due to the remote location of the forest area, additional expenses of around 2,800 euros are necessary.
